We WON the Arbitrum Odyssey vote! + Upcoming Launch
Arbitrum Odyssey is an event where you can earn NFTs by using pre-selected Arbitrum dapps. We’re 1 of 14 winners of the Arbitrum Odyssey vote, meaning in about 8 weeks, hundreds (if not thousands) of Arbitrum users will descend on Ideamarket to give it a try.
Arbitrum Odyssey is rumored to be part of a qualifying strategy for an (also rumored) Arbitrum token $ARBI airdrop.
BoO Soft Launch This Week
In the next few days, we’ll be soft-launching the BLOCKCHAIN OF OPINIONS on Arbitrum mainnet.
The BoO aims to establish an on-chain track record of personal opinion on important topics. This makes it easy to see who was right when it counted, and decide who to trust about high-stakes judgment calls in the future.
(Today we’re voting on which topics to start with. Vote here: https://discord.com/channels/708475042123612238/975815541115732009)
You’ll be invited to rate each post on a scale of 1-100 to show your agreement or disagreement, and encourage insightful voices to do the same.
Stake $IMO on users you trust to increase their impact on the Composite Rating of every post they rate. Buy $IMO on SushiSwap on Arbitrum.
Average Rating (the next column over) is just “average rating by all who rated.” Composite rating is harder to Sybil attack, and increases the influence of people you trust.
Every user will have a Profile where you can see all the ratings and comments they’ve given.
And we’re just getting started.
We didn’t even mention:
The Post page, where you can see everyone’s ratings on the same post
Create new posts (+ post Tweets directly from Twitter) for rating (coming soon)
Sell your posts as NFTs
Bounties (coming soon)
Ask for — and incentivize — anyone’s opinion on anything. A decentralized information curation network.
Create and fund bounties for influential users to rate a post of your choice. (If you have a passionate audience, you’ll be able to earn money just by expressing your opinion.)
We’re working on making it so that staking IMO on a user entitles you to a share of their bounty earnings.
There are 1,000 Galileos alive today
It seems ridiculous to think about, but 400 years ago, the Catholic Church excommunicated Galileo for spouting “fake news” about the Earth revolving around the Sun.
Today, the internet gives us thousands of Galileos — each saying, "Guys, this is really obvious, don’t waste 100 years of progress by discounting it.”
Ideamarket surfaces the internet’s Galileos so humanity can jump ahead by centuries, instead of by trickles.
Let’s see what we can surface together.
